Afterwards, about two thousand rebellious peasants were scattered on Humlov Hill by the troops called for. Nowadays this event is commemorated by a monument located near the old people’s homes in R. Friml Street.
Here, on the hillside of Humlov Hill, a farm called Humlov dvůr used to stand since the 16th century. The town leased the farm like a great number of other lands. In the course of time a number of natural disasters befell Humlův dvůr. It was also affected by the military events of the Silesian and Prussian-Austrian Wars.
