The attractive and well-groomed historical city centre and its surroundings is an interesting place for a single-day and multi-day visit of families and individuals. Here there is a wide range of cultural and sports facilities available, as well as a year-long rich offer of various events of the entertaining and artistic character. It is possible to recommend a visit to the sights commemorating the 1866 Prussian-Austrian War, and to the biggest contemporary fortress in Bohemia, Stachelberg, located above the municipality of Trutnov-Babí. A number of attractions and popular events are connected with the mythical beginnings of the city, and the legend of the dragon of Trutnov.
