The Church of St Peter and Paul in Trutnov - Poříčí

The neo-Gothic Church of St Peter and Paul in Poříčí was built at the turn of the 19 th and 20 th centuries according to the design of the Trutnov builder Vincenz Baier.

The interior of the church is decorated with three altarpieces: the main one with sculptures of the patron saints of the church St Peter and Paul, and two side altarpieces with sculptures of Virgin Mary and Christ. Besides a large chandelier, the church is lit by 13 stained-glass windows with ornamental and figurative decorations. On the top of the fifty-metre high church tower there is a four-metre high iron cross. In the pointed arch of the entrance gate on the western façade of the church there is a memorial plaque containing basic data on the church, which was “built by the Poříčí community to honour Our Lord and comfort believers” in the years 1897-1903.
