In was created in the atelier of Jiří Pacák, the contemporary of Mathias Bernard Braun, who worked in the nearby chateau of Kuks. The sculptural group is located in Horská Street opposite the post office, in the place where the former bridge over the mill-race used to be.
Between the museum and the Church of the Nativity of Virgin Mary there is another sculpture, which is ascribed to Pacák’s atelier. It is the sculptural group of the Holy Family (15) dating back to 1730.
Besides the chateau of Kuks owned by Count Špork, the Pacák brothers also worked in Žireč and some other places of the former Žireč Jesuit manor, e.g. in Žacléř.
