On its sandstone pedestal with two stairs there rested his bronze bust designed by the Viennese sculpturer Tilgner.
The laurel wreath adorned with a blue and white ribbon, designed in the town colours of Trutnov, bore an inscription “The City of Trutnov to the Poet of Genius”. Uffo Horn, who was born to a local family of mixed nationalities in 1817, ranks among the most outstanding personalities in Trutnov history as a poet and a writer, and as a revolutionary of the stormy year 1848. His grave in the local cemetery is decorated with a tombstone bearing his relief and a lamenting muse created by the Prague sculptor Tomáš Seidan.
